Artist Statement

I present my work in Japan and abroad by infusing each piece with both the physical form and the spiritual essence of “Japanese beauty” and “light.”

For me, light symbolizes hope and warmth—an element essential to human life. Through a careful interplay of shadow, light, and color, I explore how illumination transforms materials, space, and emotion. Working with stained glass, mixed media, and semi-three-dimensional forms, my creative theme is “embracing people and spaces with light.”

My practice draws deeply from Japanese aesthetics, the beauty of nature, and a wish for world peace. Through exhibitions held internationally and domestically—including shows in Mexico, Australia, Dubai, and Japan—I seek to share the quiet strength and universal resonance of light.

Artist Profile

While working in architectural design offices and housing manufacturers in spatial and interior design, I realized that design can change its meaning depending on the creator. This insight led me to begin my artistic practice with the desire to “deliver works filled with light by my own hands.”

I create stained-glass works, mixed-material pieces, and semi-relief forms that emphasize the expressive power of shadow, light, and color. Based in Mexico, Australia, and Japan, I develop the theme “Light that embraces people and spaces.” I have held numerous solo exhibitions both in Japan and overseas and have participated in major international exhibitions such as World Art Dubai. I also contribute to cultural exchange as a lecturer for art programs between sister cities.

In the field of education, I teach interior design, color theory, corporate training courses, public lectures, and stained-glass workshops for professionals and general audiences.

造形とともに精神性も含めた「日本の美」と「光」を作品に込めながら、国内外で発表しています。

私にとって光は、希望とあたたかさを象徴し、人に欠かせない要素です。影、光、色彩の繊細な相互作用を通して、光が素材、空間、そして感情をどのように変容させるかを探求。ステンドグラス、ミクストメディア、半立体などを駆使し、「光と空間に光を纏う」を創作テーマとしています。

私の作品は、日本の美意識、自然の美しさ、そして世界平和への願いをモチーフとして深く掘り下げ、メキシコ、オーストラリア、ドバイ、日本など、国内外での展覧会を通して、光の静かな力強さと普遍性を共有したいと考えています。

◎ 略歴 ◎

　建築設計事務所、ハウジングメーカー等で空間設計やインテリアデザイン業務に携わるなか、デザインが作り手によって別のものになることに気づき、「自ら作品に光を込めて届けたい」という想いで制作活動をスタートさせました。

　「光」は希望や暖かさを感じさせ、人に欠かせないものです。効果的に表現する「影と光と色彩」にこだわり、異素材とコラボレーションしたステンドグラスや半立体造形などを用いて「人と空間に光を纏う」をテーマに、メキシコ、オーストラリア、日本において創作活動を行う。「日本美」 「自然美」 「世界平和」をモチーフに国内外において個展の開催やドバイ等世界的展示に参加。姉妹都市間芸術交流の講師を務めるなど、国際交流にも尽力しています。

　また教育面においてはインテリアコーディネーターやデザイナー養成、企業研修、一般生活者の方を対象にインテリア、色彩各種、講演•講座、ステンドグラスワークショップ等の講師を勤めます。

 In the various situations where I am involved—such as stained glass commissions and workshops, as well as architectural and interior design—I am always reminded that each person’s individuality and requests are wonderfully diverse.　When creating spaces where people can live brightly and comfortably, design  and art becomes a means to make that possible, and the influence of color, light, and shadow is especially significant.

It is my hope that by sharing approaches to personalized interiors and forms through lectures and other activities, and by creating heartfelt designs, I can contribute in some small way to the happiness of everyone.

ステンドグラスのオーダーやワークショップ、建築・インテリアデザインなど、関わらせていただく様々な場面で感じるのは、それぞれの個性や要望は多種多様に異なること。 人々が明るく過ごすための空間づくりに向けて、デザインはそれを叶える手段であり「色彩・光と影」の影響は特に大きいものです。

個々に配慮したインテリア、造形を講座等でお伝えしたり、心をこめたデザインが皆様のしあわせにつながれば幸いです。
